Rainbow Six Siege: here's everything you should know about Operation Phantom Sight's new operators
Rainbow Six Siege's second season of Year 4, Operation Phantom Sight, is coming soon, and this new video should prepare you for it.
As previously promised, Ubisoft has shown off the new season, which introduces new operators Nokk and Warden.
The video below shows off both characters in action within the renovated Kafe Dostoyevsky map, which has been changed in the hopes of creating a better, more balanced map. This new take on the Kafe will replace the original version for all players.
The eponymous 'phantom' is Nokk, an attacker who can muffle her footsteps and avoid camera detection. Warden is the 'sight', whose abilities help him deal with visibility issues.
Warden can switch on his special glasses to make himself immune to flashbangs, or to remove the effects of flashbangs that have already blinded him. He's able to see through smoke as well, and generally look cool while taking out opponents. There's a fixed cooldown on these glasses, but no limit to how many times he can use them during a match.
Warden is a strong counter to teams that are heavy on flashes, but his gadget is less effective when he's moving, so positioning him well is important. He's a high armour, low speed character.
Nokk is a creepier character with some pretty advanced stealth techniques. She can disappear from camera feeds and silence her footsteps with her gadget, which uses a recharge meter but no cooldown or set weapon. Nokk's gadget will glitch when she does anything other than move or reload, but she looks like a potent stealth character regardless. She's set with medium speed and medium armour.
Both characters will be available at the season's launch for Year 4 pass owners, and available to unlock for all other players a week later. Everything will first arrive on test servers on May 21.
