New Rage 2 footage shows off the game's wild action
Rage 2 is looking pretty wild and weird in the footage coming out of Bethesda's E3 show.
During Bethesda's E3 showcase we got a look at a mission from Rage 2, in which you take down a space center.
After a delightful performance of the game's theme song by Andrew WK, we got to see what the game looks like in action.
You play as Walker, a wasteland ranger to has lost everything, and now prowls the wasteland seeking revenge. The footage shows ultra-fast combat and an array of powers that let you turn the tide and hurl enemies through the sky. At one point Walker magnetises all of his enemies to the roof and takes them out with ease.
It looks a lot like Avalanche's Mad Max game, complete with vehicular combat, but with more powers and abilities. The game's aesthetic is very neon pink and violent.
The footage ends with Walker pressing a button to retrieve an 'eco pod' from the earth's atmosphere, within which Walker finds a power-up that turns him into a 'veritable super hero'. Shatter allows him to boost towards enemies and hit them hard at close range.
Rage 2 will be playable at E3, so hands-on reports are sure to follow. The game will launch in Spring 2019.
