Quantic Dream's next game already in development

Beyond: Two Souls developer Qauntic Dream has started on its next project, and David Cage has at least two more lined up to follow.

"I actually have probably my next three games in mind," he told GamesIndustry.

"Although I'm full speed on Beyond, I know what I'm doing after it because it's already in development, and I know what I'm doing after that and probably after that."

Of course, the rapidly-shifting face of the games industry means we might never see these three projects come to fruition; Cage himself has abandoned a couple of projects - Quark, Omikron 2, Fiv5 and Infraworld have all been thrown around as possible Quantic Dream projects.

Some of these projects may surface again oen day; Cage also said he likes to leave things on the back burner for a while.

"It's great because I have more ideas than I can develop," he said.

"I keep thinking all the time, all the time I'm working. And it gives time to ideas really to evolve and to come to a moment where they're ready to be written. So it's not like I just finished Beyond - oh my God, what am I going to do with the next idea? No, it's something that's matured for a very long time. That definitely helps a lot."

Beyond: Two Souls is due sometime in 2013. A release date is expected soon.

It seems pretty likely that the Sony-friendly Quantic Dream is working on a new game for the PlayStation 4, which we're expecting to see on February 20.
