PUBG players stumble upon hidden loot cave in Vikendi
This week's big PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds PC update brought more than new guns, and vehicles.
Patch 25, only available on PUBG's PC test servers for now, appears to have added a mysterious area to Vikendi. This cave, found west of Peshkova, northeast of Podvosta, is incredibly well-hidden.
There's no clear entrance to the cave, but if you know where the entry point is, you can easily blow it up with an explosive or drive right through. The illusory rock formation then crumbles, granting you access. This is unlike anything PUBG Corp. has done before as far as Easter eggs, and the discovery naturally got everyone excited to explore it.
This could change come launch, but as it stands, the cave is full of loot. More specifically, airdrop loot - the rarest in PUBG. As you can see in the video below, several airdrop crates can be found inside, complete with your typical airdrop gear, and weapons.
Though this may first look like a dev room, its not. The area is too well-crafted to be random. The entrance being destructible, and hidden, also indicates the developer intended for people to find it.
It's not clear exactly how players came across it, especially given its discreet nature, but it's a treasure nonetheless. Watch Reddit user Bizzfarts' video at the link for where to find it, or witness the adventure PUBG streamers Wtfmoses, and ChocoTaco went on upon discovering it.
