PUBG dev extending Steam market restrictions on cosmetic crates
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds players who dabble in selling/buying items on Steam are once again facing restrictions.
PUBG Corp., having previously disabled player-to-player trading on Steam, has now revealed that it's extending the market embargo the game's various crates have.
As it stands, when you acquire a new crate in PUBG, you won't immediately be able to sell it on the Steam market. For instance, the Aviator Crate was released on May 16 but players are still unable to sell/buy it on the Steam market.
PUBG Corp. said in a new blog post that restrictions on the Aviator Crate will be lifted on June 13.
This is the longest ever a crate has been locked from being marketable, but you should expect future crates to follow a similar schedule.
"We believe that implementing slightly longer market restriction times will help alleviate [the issue of jacked-up prices for rare items]," the developer wrote.
