PS4 Pro captures 4K screenshots, but only 1080p videos
The PlayStation Share feature isn't looking like it's going to get a massive upgrade with PS4 Pro.
The PlayStation 4 Pro, which was revealed overnight, supports 4K video playback and is intended for players with 4K TVs, thanks to its upgraded power.
However, the Share function that's been in the PS4 since launch, isn't getting a big upgrade on PS4 Pro. Sony confirmed to Polygon that while you will be able to capture 4K screenshots on the Pro model, you'll be limited to 1080p, 30 frames-per-second for video.
As for Remote Play and Share Play, you'll be able to run those at 1080p and up to 60 frames-per-second, depending on network conditions. YouTube and Dailymotion will too support 1080p/60fps, while Twitch can only go up to 30fps at 1080p.
By comparison, the standard PS4 captures 1080p screenshots, and 720p videos at 30fps.
PlayStation 4 Pro is out this November, priced $400.
