PS4: one in every three games sold is an EA title, publisher claims

EA's internal week one estimates suggest that one in every three PlayStation 4 games sold is one of the publisher's efforts.

The figure was posted in a tweet from COO Peter Moore, and suggests about 33% of all PS4 software sales so far have been EA games.

EA provided four titles for the PS4 launch in North America last week - Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Madden 25 and Need for Speed Rivals. There were 11 games available on-disc in stores, which means EA titles represent 36% of the available software - so it's not that amazing a feat from a retail perspective.

However, the digital line-up was much larger, so if EA is counting both sides of the spectrum - as it is wont to do - then it's well ahead of the competition.

The PS4 launches in Europe and select further territories on November 29. EA is releasing the same four games on Xbox One, which hits in North America and West Europe on November 22 - this Friday.
