PS4 firmware 5.50 begins testing soon, and Sony is taking sign-ups
The next major firmware update for PS4, version 5.50, will soon begin testing.
Like all major PS4 firmware updates, Sony is looking for players to test out the features ahead of time. The company did not reveal the details of firmware 5.50, but those typically follow few days after the announcement.
For this test, anyone can sign up so long as they're 18-years-old, have a PSN account, and their PS4 is connected to the internet. Players in Europe can register using this form, while US players can use this one.
Starting this beta, players can also choose to always be contacted about future betas without having to register for them. Sign-ups are open from now until the start of the beta, though no date was given.
As always, beta participants can roll back to the previous version if they face problems.
