PS4: EA logs over 2.3 million hours of gameplay in five days

PlayStation 4 launched just five days ago, and in North American online, but EA has already recorded some impressive gameplay figures.

In a tweet, the publisher said EA games have generated over 140 million minutes of gameplay so far; that's about 2.3 million hours, or 97,000 days.

That sounds insane, but since we know the console sold through at least 1 million units in the region, we're looking at an average of 2.3 hours of gameplay per user.

EA also said that it has logged more than 5 million online game sessions.

EA is responsible for four PS4 launch titles - Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Madden 25 and Need for Speed Rivals. Yesterday, it laid claim to about one-third of all PS4 games sold so far.

The PS4 launches in Europe and selected further territories on November 29. EA's games will also be available on Xbox One, which launches on November 22.
