Profits halved at Metal Gear publisher Konami

Metal Gear publisher Konami saw profits halved in the full financial year from 13.2bn yen ($129m) to 6.2bn ($60m).

Sales for the financial year ended March 31 were 217.6bn yen ($2.1bn), down marginally from 226bn yen ($2.2bn) for the previous year.

The publisher described sales of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Professional Baseball Spirits 2014 as "solid".

The company confirmed it will be showing Metal Gear content at E3 next month, and it has plans to develop its sports games for Xbox One and PS4.
