Prey patch adds actual PS4 Pro support for those of you who wondered why it didn't look any better

Prey has been patched and now actually does what it says on the box.

Prey_Nightmare_730x337

Prey released last month and seems to have gone down pretty well, but there was a definite, noticeable difference between the three platforms.

The PC build of Prey is way better than the consoles, and both the PS4 and Xbox One versions had different advantages and disadvantages. But there was a fourth platform nobody had much to say about, because the PS4 Pro version of Prey was, uh ... identical to the PS4 build, pretty much.

Since Prey was advertised as having PS4 Pro support this was pretty disappointing, but the good news is that the most recent patch addresses that oversight, adding in a number of benefits including improved shadows, reflections, anisotropy and other things graphics obsessives will greatly appreciate.

If you have a bogstandard PS4, the patch also includes further improvements to the input drift, which was a real mark against this version of Prey. This is pretty good timing given that Prey is on sale on the PSN right now.

Here are the full patch notes for Prey version 1.04, via Bethesda.net. You can see it also includes a couple of progression fixes; if you got stuck and gave up in disgust, you should also check out what was fixed in the last Prey update.
