Potential new Angry Birds game spotted in TV report

MTV is carrying two shots of what could be a new Angry Birds game taken from a report on German TV.
As the site notes, the images aren't from any existing Angry Birds game, and appear to show more detailed backgrounds over current versions.
The game's trademark slingshot is in place, and there appear to be no new birds, enemies or blocks.
The images are taken from a part of a report which mentions that Rovio is working on "new versions of their game".

Angry birds has now been downloaded more than 50 million times.
The mobile classic has just been released for PlayStation 3.
