Portal 2 UGC tools expanded to co-operative levels

Valve has opened up Portal 2's Perpetual Testing Initiative - mod tools for user-created levels - to co-operative play.

Previously, user-generated levels were restricted to single-player only, which was a bit of a shame, as the first-person puzzler's adorable twin robots helped lure many into what turned out to be a solid (and occasionally friendship destroying) multiplayer experience.

Shack reports Valve has awarded all current Portal 2 owners a 75% voucher for the game, so they can grab and gift an extra copy on the cheap, helping them find a co-op partner.

The developer has also added Quick Play mode which automatically generates a list of top-rated levels. Nice.

Portal 2 released in April last year and remains amazing. How about that.
