Pokémon X & Y pre-order bundles sold out at Amazon Japan
Japanese gamers snapped up Amazon Japan's entire allocation of Pokémon X & Y console pre-order bundles in just nine hours.
According to DualShockers' translation of a tweet from the online retailer, Amazon Japan initially had 100,000 units available for pre-order.
It's not clear if this number refers to individual games or to those bundled with 3DS consoles and bonus content, but all console bundles sold out in under nine hours.
Since the game itself is still available for purchase, we're going to guess the stock allowance for cartridges on their own was a lot higher than 100,000.
Pokémon X & Y is the first in the series to use 3D graphics, and the first core Pokémon title for the 3DS. It's due worldwide on October 12, and includes a number of new features like mega evolutions and group battles.
