Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon Lets You Surf on a Mantine, Just as God and Nature Intended

Feel all that slick flesh slither under your bare feet.

Kat and I have discussed the upcoming Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon over on the Axe of the Blood God podcast a few times. Though we're both big fans of Sun and Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is kind of on the sidelines as far as our list of "Games We're Most Excited for This Fall" list is concerned.

Well, that was before I discovered Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon lets you surf on a Mantine.

A new trailer posted today for the next two entries in the mainline Pokémon series shows off some of the features we can expect when the games hit the Nintendo 3DS in November. There's a new story; fan-favorite Lillie is back (minus her adorable hat, but I guess I'll survive), as is Hau. There are over 400 Pokémon to find and catch, which should come in handy when you take on the new Island Challenges.

There's also a robust new photo mode, and it looks like it's a lot of fun – but not nearly as much fun as surfing on a Mantine's back in between Alola's islands. A gent who follows me on Twitter suggested we should be able to surf on the backs of all Pokémon, including Mewtwo. I concur.

Surf's up on November 17.
