Where to Get Bulbasaur and Squirtle in the Pokemon Sword and Shield Isle of Armor DLC

To get Bulbasaur and Squirtle in the Isle of Armor expansion, you'll need to follow the main questline after arriving on the Isle of Armor by visiting the Master Dojo, encountering Mustard and battling your new rival. Not long after appearing you'll have to attempt the first trial of the Dojo, in which you must defeat three runaway Slowpoke - a tricky process which we've outlined for you here.

Hey, I know you... | Joel Franey/USG, Nintendo

Once you've defeated all of them and return to the Dojo, Honey will bring out Squirtle and Bulbasaur and offer you to take one of them to train, explaining that these ones will also be capable of Gigantimaxing in battle. However, they'll only be level five when you get them, and won't be able to Gigantimax until their final evolved form, meaning you'll have to train them for a while before you can get the most out of them. You can also get the third starter, Charmander, in the main game by following this guide here.

How to Get Both Starters

As far as we know there's currently no way to get both starters from the Dojo, and your only option would be to trade with another player. However, we're still exploring through the Isle of Armor and will be sure to update this if we get more details!
