Pokemon Let's Go Mewtwo - How to Find Mewtwo in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee
Unlike Mew, you can find Mewtwo in one very specific location in Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee. But be warned: Mewtwo is by far the strongest creature you can possibly face in the entire game. In this Pokemon Let's Go Mewtwo guide, we'll be outlining where to find Mewtwo in Pokemon Let's Go, so you can track this opponent down.
Pokemon Let’s Go Mewtwo Location
To even think about capturing Mewtwo in Pokemon Let’s Go, you’re firstly going to have to defeat the Elite Four. This is by no means an easy task, and you’ll have to acquire every Gym Badge in the game, from all eight Gym Leaders, before taking on the Elite Four. For a full guide on taking down every final boss, head over to our Pokemon Let’s Go Elite Four guide.
But, once you’ve finished the Elite Four, the credits will roll on Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. You’re not done yet though, as when you find yourself back in the game, your rival will enter your house, saying that an incredibly powerful Pokemon has been sighted near Cerulian City. Head straight over to the town, but enter the cave slightly to the northwest of the actual city itself, with the powerful trainer standing outside.
Within the cave itself, you need to find the large ladder heading up to the next level. After this, head immediately north and take the next ladder down, and the ladder down after that when you’re in a tiny area. At the very bottom level, you’ll find Mewtwo, available to be battled and captured.
However, don’t think the fight with Mewtwo is going to be as easy as the other legendary Pokemon in the game (like Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos). Mewtwo starts out at level 70, and it’s only weak to a very specific amount of attack types, including Bug, Ghost and Dark.
Once you have defeated Mewtwo in combat (and remember, you’ve only got 5 minutes to do so), you can capture the creature in a Poke Ball. We hope you came prepared with Ultra, Great, and Premier Balls, because Mewtwo isn’t getting captured easily.
After you’ve captured Mewtwo for yourself, you’ve successfully bagged yourself one of the rarest, and most powerful Pokemon in the entire game.
