Pokemon Go: Norwegian Prime Minister caught playing during speech by minister criticised for the same thing
Pokemon Go seems to be in fashion in Norwegian political circles.
Pokemon Go is probably not your employer's idea of a good use of work hours, but the temptation to check your phone is pretty hard to resist, whether you're wearing a sandwich board or, oh, running a nation.
Back in August, Norwegian Liberal party leader Trine Skei Grande was caught playing Pokemon Go during a parliamentary hearing on foreign affairs and defense.
According to CNN's translation of a Norwegian report, Grande said doing something "braindead" like Pokemon Go actually helps her stay focused - but she stopped playing when people complained.
In a cute little twist of fate, another high profile Norwegian politician has been caught playing Pokemon Go in parliament - while Grande herself was speaking. The Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg has been open about her interest in Pokemon Go and was photographed playing during Grande's turn at the podium during a debate.
According to the Guardian's translations, Solberg isn't too fazed by the photo, commenting that Grande would probably like to know the PM had been playing Pokemon Go during the speech. Indeed, Grande herself tweeted saying Solberg heard her speech, because she can multitask.
Solberg is said to be a big fan of Pokemon Go and reportedly took some time off during a visit to Slovakia because she wanted to hatch some 10km eggs. Amazing.
