Pokemon Go: Giratina is returning to raids this week, and Mewtwo will come back for EX raids soon
The Altered Forme version of the legendary Giratina is coming to Pokemon Go, and you can catch it from raids this week.
Girantina, who featured on the cover of Pokemon Platinum back in the day (albeit in Origin Forme), is returning to Pokemon Go this week. You'll find him in raids, as he's replacing Mewtwo, the classic legendary from the original Pokemon.
Giratina popped up during the Halloween 2018 event, but he's generally elusive. Now's your shot to fill a space in your Pokedex.
Giratina will be available from Monday, September 23 at 1pm PDT to Thursday, October 17 at 1pm PDT. You'll also be able to catch his Shiny form if you're really lucky.
Mewtwo, meanwhile, will come back for invite only EX raids from October 5, but you'll be able to earn EX Raid Passes from September 25 at 1:00 p.m. PDT. It'll come equipped with Shadow Ball, and again, there's a (very slim) chance of a shiny Mewtwo popping up.
Pokemon Go just got Unova Pokemon last week, so it's understandable if you're still pretty focused on trying to catch a Snivy. In any case, it's going to be a busy few weeks for the game.
