Pokemon Go, but you're an old man sick of millennial bulls**t

This Pokemon Go spoof game is actually kind of compelling.

Pokemon Go is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds, but that hasn't stopped some corners of the media taking a "get off my lawn" approach to the whole thing and suggesting everyone above the age of 35 is baffled by it, as they supposedly are by every new-fangled invention (give your elders some credit, cats).

That silly attitude is a central premise of Pokemon Go spoof game The Pokeyman Thing (via Polygon), which casts you as an elderly gentleman whose grandson wanders off in pursuit of Pokemon.

Presenting very similarly to classic Pokemon but with an added smartphone interface on the site, it offers a chain of simple quests requiring the grumpy old fellow to play Pokemon Go in order to track down his wayward relative.

I really enjoyed it, mainly because the Pokemon names are all taken direct from the baffled elderly relative lexicon, and there's a substantial little adventure to enjoy. Go have a look; it may help scratch the Pokemon Go itch while you're stuck at your desk or whatever.
