Mobile strategy title Pokemon Duel to be taken offline in October

Pokemon Duel, the mobile strategy title with board game inspired mechanics, will be taken offline in October.

The Pokemon Company announced today it will take iOS and Android title Pokemon Duel offline October 31.

Pokemon Duel is a strategy title where players move figures around a board battling it out in order to reach their opponent’s territory.

It's a free-to-play game where players can spend real money on more plates and Boosters. Materials collected from the purchased Boosters can be traded for Pokemon.

It's unknown as of press time what the content plan is going forward until the servers go offline. Folks should probably use up everything they have accumulated by the cut off date. This also means Diamonds currency can no longer be purchased.

Same goes for the Player Pass sub. However, players can purchase figures with Gems, the materials that come from boosts have been increased, and Time Boosters will open in half the time.

The game was released in the US and Europe in 2017, after its initial 2016 launch in Japan as Pokemon Co-master.

Another Pokemon mobile title, Pokemon Masters, is currently in the works. You can now pre-register on iOS and Android.
