Pokémon Black & White 2 players can pick up Deoxys next month

The mythical Pokémon Deoxys will make a rare appearance next month for players of Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 and also the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Starting May 8, players of the video games can add Deoxys to their Pokémon party through a special character distribution via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service.

Those who play the Pokémon TCG can also pick up the Deoxys-EX card in the new Pokémon TCG: Black & White—Plasma Freeze expansion at stores that same day.

Deoxys is a psychic-type Pokémon for those not in the know, and his interstellar origins are rather mysterious. Trainers can use the Poké in Normal Forme, Attack Forme, Defense Forme, and Speed Forme - each with its own distinct appearance and advantage.

The Deoxys available via this distribution will have special moves to be revealed in the coming weeks.

To get this Poké for your collection, you will need to do the following on May 8:

Have Wireless broadband Internet access; a DS, DSi, DSi XL, 3DS, or 3DS XL of course; a copy of either Pokémon Black 2 or Pokémon White 2 or no more than 11 Wonder Cards in your possession.
