Please just watch this terrific trailer for Toren
Toren is the kind of game I dream about when I drift off to sleep at night.
This indie puzzle adventure strikes a spark in my little soul in the same way as Ico and Tequila Works' Rime do.
Mysterious, almost ethereal fantasy setting - check. Chance to actually walk around in that setting - check. Puzzle solving - check. Minimal embedded narrative - check. Badass slightly tribally influenced character design - check.
Toren is already making waves on the festival circuit, and the latest trailer only further whets my appetite:
It's coming to PC on May 12, and can be pre-ordered on Steam for 10% off its cover price of $10 or local equivalent.
We've contacted indie games publisher Versus Evil, requesting an update on the PS4 version we were promised last year. Update: Good old Gematsu noticed that the trailer actually includes a May 12 launch date for PS4, too. Well! That makes a lot of sense.
