Playstation VR celebrates 3rd anniversary with PSN sale
It may not have made quite the splash this generation but if you had been on the fence about Playstation VR, now is really a good time to consider investing in one. Better yet, the Playstation VR Anniversary Sale is on now with up to 60% off selected titles.
It should be noted that offers differ slightly from the UK and US, while the UK actually has more on offer overall. For instance, on the UK PSN Store, you can get Batman Arkham VR for just £7.39 and Jeff Minter's trippy Polybius for just £6.49. Meanwhile, only the US PSN Store has a reduction on DriveClub VR for $5.99 and Resident Evil 7 for $14.99, though the latter has already been reduced as a Playstation Hits title.
Fortunately, both sides can enjoy savings on the games that arguably make it worthwhile getting a headset in the first place. These include Tetsuya Mizuguchi's synesthesia-inducing delights Rez Infinite (£9.49/$11.99) and Tetris Effect (£19.99/$23.99), the SuperHot Mind is Software bundle (£15.99/$19.99), and Skyrim VR (£19.99/$21.59).
Curiously, Blood & Truth isn't include in this sale, but is nonetheless discounted as part of PSN's Games of a Generation Sale also currently happening. You can enjoy VR's answer to a rollicking first-party single-player cinematic adventure a la Uncharted for just £19.99/$24.79 (PS Plus subscribers in the UK can also get another 10% off).
If you've yet to pick up a Playstation VR headset, we can't find any major discounts at the moment, though with Black Friday around the corner, this can all change pretty soon. Nonetheless, if you're looking to take advantage of the game sales right now then you can do worse than picking up a Playstation VR Starter Pack from Amazon UK for £249 or this Playstation VR bundle with Trover and Five Nights from Amazon US for $269.99.
