PlayStation Plus has 7.9 million members worldwide

Sony revealed during its financial call to investors today that its PlayStation Plus service has 7.9 million members.
Sony didn't provide numbers on how many were PlayStation 4 owners.
The financial statement released earlier revealed PS4 has shifted 3.3 million units between July and September this year.
During the period, PlayStation 3 also sold 800,000 units and 700,000 combined units of PS Vita, PSP and PlayStation TV were sold.
