PlayStation Network downtime scheduled for Thursday night

Sony has announced a period of scheduled maintenance on the PlayStation Network this week. The downtime kicks off at noon PT on August 22 and is expected to last six and a half hours. According to the PlayStation Blog, if you've signed into the PSN recently you should still be able to play online during the outage, but the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will be unavailable.
