PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds week 20 update makes teammate markers visible to spectators, fixes bugs
This week's PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds patch adds a small, but very helpful feature alongside the regular batch of bug fixes and performance improvements.
Bluehole, the game's developer, has revealed the full list of notes earlier. As always, the patch hits test servers today before releasing for everybody else tomorrow, so long as nothing is too broken.
The highlights include more performance optimisations for the UI, as well as for players with six CPU cores or more. The skid sounds of bikes and cars have been reduced, too.
The biggest addition by far, though, is that dead teammates can now see player markers on the minimap and the world map. Previously, all markers placed after your death only appeared to teammates still in the game.
This isn't too big of a change tactically, but it makes it easier to follow what your friends are talking about for the rest of the game, possibly even make it easier for you to armchair coach the rest of the match.
