Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville trailer leaks
It's a little rough, but this might be your first look at the next Plants vs Zombies shooter - Battle for Neigborville.
EA has already been busy filing European trademarks for Battle for Neighborville. Now, there's even more reason to suspect a threequel is imminent.
It's missing a few effects, animations, and a general lick of paint. The footage is plastered with timecodes, placeholder sketches and a big TEMP GAME FOOTAGE disclaimer. But if you're still interested, this leaked trailer could be the first real footage of a third Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare.
It's probably best to take this with a pinch of salt. Even in this unfinished state, though, there are reasons to suspect a genuine leak. The production values are already there. You'd have to be pretty committed to the hoax to produce a bespoke pop song, we'd imagine.
The whole thing's got a real bouncy Fortnite energy to it. We get a glimpse of some new Plants (and the Zombies they're fighting) through the medium of dance, like a mushroom assassin.
There are some brief in-game demonstrations near the end, though it's all quite early-looking. Plenty of paper gnomes getting their nut shot in.
With Gamescom just around the corner, we'll keep our eyes open for more news.
