Planetary Annihilation alpha kicks off next week
Uber Entertainment has released a timeline of its development plans for crowd-funded RTS Planetary Annihilation, with the most pertinent entry granting early access to backers in just over a week.
As detailed on the project's Kickstarter, alpha access will open on June 7, allowing those who backed the project at the appropriate tier to begin playing almost immediately. This phase will run right through August.
The alpha is unlikely to be very representative of the finished game, but a beta is expected to follow in September and November, ahead of launch in December.
These early tests will be offered through Uber's own network, but Steam keys will be provided when the game migrates to Valve's platform.
Want to see the global combat in action? There's an article for that. Uber Entertainment is the team behind Monday Night Combat, by the by.
