Pikmin 3 Deluxe demo available today for Switch owners

Switch users can download a demo for Pikmin 3 Deluxe today.

Nintendo has announced that later today it will release a demo for Pikmin 3 Deluxe for Switch owners.

The demo version features save-data transfer with the full game, and completing it also gives immediate access to the Ultra-Spicy difficulty mode in the full game, and other perks.

Along with news of the demo, during today's Nintendo Treehouse presentation, some of the new features coming with the Deluxe edition were highlighted.

You can expect Side Stories, which are a brand-new series of missions in the game. These adventures with Captain Olimar and Louie explore what happened before and after the game’s main story.

New to story mode is split-screen co-op, and another addition is the Piklopedia. Now, anytime you encounter a new creature, they’ll receive an entry in the Piklopedia from each of the game’s explorers.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe will release for Switch on October 30.
