PES 2013 online courtesy levels explained, rage-quitters warned

PES 2013 comes with embedded online courtesy levels that is geared towards tiering players into varying levels of rage-quitting and foul play, keeping the honest players matchmaked together and the cheaters in their own bracket. Konami has outlined how the tiers work in a new blog post.

The blog post reads, "A lot of our players are concerned on how exactly our courtesy level works, and what actions can be taken against cheaters. To help clarify the issue, we wish to give our players some insight into some of the details of our courtesy level"

"Please bear in mind that this is as much information as we can make public, however we have more systems in place to both detect and deal with cheaters that we cannot make public, as to avoid users trying to override our system."

It's understandable that Konami can't explain exactly how it all works, lest unscrupulous players exploit the system. The tiers take many factors into consideration, including disconnect rate, completed matches, fair play, and more. There are also complaint channels should you wish to flag up a particular player.
