Persona 5 Strikers launches in the West in February
One year after its initial Japanese release.
Persona 5-Dynasty Warriors crossover Strikes is set to release in the West early 2021.
That's according to Gematsu, which reports that the title is slated to be rolled out on February 23 for Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC. That's come from an unlisted YouTube video on Atlus West' YouTube channel.
It's possible that Persona 5 Strikers' release date was meant to be announced at The Game Awards next week on December 10.
Persona 5 Strikers was released in Japan in February 2020 as Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers but has been renamed for the West. The title is a collaboration between P Studio and Omega Force that combines the style of Persona with the chaotic gameplay of the latter's Dynasty Warrior series.
Persona 5 was released in Japan in September 2016 before launching in the West the following April. By May 2018, the game had sold 2.2 million units.
An enhanced version of the game – Persona 5 Royal – came out in October 2019 in Japan and March 2020 in the West. As of July, this version of the game had sold 1.4 million units around the world. Overall, the Persona series has shifted more than 10 million copies to date.
