Persona 5 Gym Guide - Using the Protein Lovers Gym, How to Gain SP and HP

Persona 5 offers a bevvy of side activities for the player to undertake, but working out at the Protein Lovers Gym can offer some particularly useful bonuses.

Using the Persona 5 Gym can grant your character many bonuses, especially when you're looking to venture into a tough palace in the game. In this Persona 5 Protein Lovers Gym guide, we'll be walking you through how to increase your SP and HP, in order to toughen your character up a bit.

Persona 5 Protein Lovers Gym Guide

While some areas of Persona 5 are only uncovered if you actively seek them out, the Protein Lovers Gym in the Central Street of Shibuya will be revealed if the player either simply enters the Gym, or if they have levelled up their Confidant Link with Ryuji to Rank 3.

When undertaking the option to hang out with Ryuji once having reached Rank 3 in the Confidant Link, Ryuji will ask the player to accompany him to the Protein Lovers Gym. While this is handy in itself, be sure to answer "Protein powder?" when Ryuji asks you if you remembered your equipment, as this will gain points towards your Social Link with him.

Once discovered through Ryuji, you can return to the Protein Lovers Gym any time you please, and just in case you never spent time with Ryuji in the first place, you can find the Gym all on your own and use it for the fee of 2,000 Yen per session.

Upon arriving there for the first time, you'll be shown a brief introduction to the Protein Lovers Gym by a personal trainer, with Morgana afterwards asking if you'd like to use a Protein Shake to enhance the rewards from the workout.

You start off with one Protein Shake in your inventory for when you visit the Protein Lovers Gym for the first time, which can be consumed to enhance the max health and stamina boosts that you earn from that one workout. Should you exercise without using the drink, you'll gain +3 to your health and +2 to your stamina, with these increasing to +5 and +3 respectively should you use the Protein Shake.
