PEGI and ESRB may end up having an issue with Duke Nukem Forever

Gearbox's Randy Pitchford said during a press event in London this morning he didn't want any film taken of the Duke Nukem Trailer trailer being shown to the press, due to its rather racy content.

According to the studio boss, he didn't want 2K "to be punished" for the studio's "creativity".

Per CVG, the trailer shown featured "bare breasts, strippers, gratuitous swearing, the word 'f**king' in massive letters and a giant alien getting pummeled in the genitals by Duke himself", along with Duke "being pleasured" by two gals at once.

Sounds like a banging awesome trailer to us. We feel extremely deprived for not getting to see it.

Pitchford told attendees European and American ratings boards would likely "not approve" of what was shown. That and two bucks will get you a cup of coffee, ya know.

On the other end, according to GamerZines, Gearbox’s Steve Gibson said the developer is playing around with the idea of releasing the game on April 1, as a homage to the many delays the game has received, along with the massive amount of vaporware jokes.

Would be fitting, really. Gotta love Gearbox's sense of humor.

Duke Nukem Forever is slated for release in 2011 on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and Gearbox has opened up a dialogue with retailers on honoring customer pre-orders made way back when.
