PC Games rallies German gamers against Christian Social Union
The German PC Games magazine has called on gamers to mass-mail leading political figures in the ever-present "killer games" debate in the country in the wake of Zeit Online interviewing Bavarian interior minister Joachim Herrmann (translated here by GamesPolitics).
In the chat, Herrmann, a Christian Social Union politician, says that any game involving "brutal violence" should be outright banned in Germany by law.
Obviously, those who aren't extremely conservative, middle-aged and a little bonkers, may find his views rather "disturbing."
Mail the German politicians and tell them so. It's doubtful a legal ban would ever pass through parliament in German, but that doesn't mean you have to sit by and wait for it to happen, does it?
