PAX Australia 2014 dated, moving to Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre
PAX Australia 2014 will run October 31 through November 2, and will remain in Melbourne, although in the larger venue.
Following packed-out sessions at the inaugural Australian edition of PAX, organisers have announced the consumer expo is moving to the larger Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre for 2014.
In a press release, organisers ReedPOP and Penny Arcade noted that PAX Australia 2013 was sold out months in advance, with Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business Louise Asher describing the event as "a great coup" for Melbourne.
“PAX is the world’s leading games festival and the return of PAX Australia to Melbourne for the second consecutive year highlights Victoria’s reputation as a key hub for games development in the Asia Pacific region,” she said.
"The games community here is incredible, and PAX Australia is here to stay,” Penny Arcade's Robert Khoo added.
The Victorian Government, Interactive Games & Entertainment Association and the Game Developers Association of Australia will support PAX Australia 2014, which will feature international and local content as well as community events.
