Overwatch's D.Va is now playable in Heroes of the Storm
Just a quick reminder that D.Va is now available as playable character in Heroes of the Storm.
The Overwatch tank's backstory for Heroes of the Storm sees the World champion professional gamer and "burgeoning global icon" Hana Song (D.Va) battling to protect her homeland as a member of South Korea’s elite MEKA unit. So, basically the same as in Overwatch, from what I gather.
Be sure to check out the patch notes which include the addition of D.Va over on the Battle.net forums.
If you missed the hero spotlight video for D.Va posted last week, give it a look-see.
Her skills are listed below and are demonstrated in the screenshots posted in the gallery:
- Mech Mode / Pilot Mode — D.Va pilots her MEKA in battle; when her Mech is destroyed, she’s ejected and can continue to fight on foot in Pilot Mode
- Call Mech — Call a new Mech and enter Mech Mode; each Basic Attack in Pilot Mode lowers this skill cooldown
- Defense Matrix — While in Mech Mode, channel a defensive field in the target direction, reducing damage dealt by enemy Heroes inside it
- Self-Destruct — Eject from the Mech, setting it to self-destruct and causing it to deal medium to massive damage in a large area
