Overwatch: large statues, Blizzard fan art, and Clueless Gamers
Blizzard's online shooter Overwatch drops next week, and the hype has kicked into high gear.
Overwatch: large statues, Blizzard fan art, and Clueless Gamers
As you may have noticed scrolling through Twitter or your RSS feeds, there are giant Overwatch statues locating in various large cities across the globe.
These are basically gigantic action figures, still enclosed in their original packaging. This will help maintain the retail value for collectors. Or it would if they were able to be purchased.
In Hollywood, California, Tracer was on display, Genji was placed at Centre Pompidou in Paris (thanks, Fangh) and Pharah popped up in Busan, South Korea.
Have a look at each below.
Blizzard fan art
One of the best things we've seen all week, is this bit of art Blizzard created for a little girl.
As you will see in the tweet below, Twitter user Shane Hickey shared a drawing his daughter made of her own Overwatch character, Birst. The character can either deal damage or heal, whichever Blizzard preferred, and she has wings and can jump really high. It's just too adorable.
Blizzard was inspired by the little darling's character enough to create their own fan art.
Clueless Gamer and Game of Thrones meet Overwatch
Finally on Monday, May 23, Conan O'Brien will air a Clueless Gamer segment on his late night show where he will be playing Overwatch.
Two special guests will be playing the game with Conan: Game of Thrones stars Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey. This could be interesting.
And that, dear readers, is your Overwatch post of the day. The game releases next week on PC, PLayStation 4 and Xbox One.
