Watch gameplay of Overwatch's new support hero Baptiste
Overwatch's Baptiste is an on-the-move medic who's also capable of dealing a lot of damage.
Blizzard officially announced Baptiste as the next Overwatch support hero in a story short released yesterday, before he made it onto the game's PTR on PC for players to try him out for themselves.
Baptiste is the game's 30th hero. A combat medic, Baptiste offers a decent mix of DPS and team support on the move. His main weapon is a three-round burst SMG with an alternate fire mode that lobs healing grenades.
Baptiste's active ability is Regenerative Burst, which is burst of healing for him and nearby allies. One of the most interesting abilities at his disposal is Immortality Field, a barrier that prevents allies from dying by keeping their health at 40.
His ultimate is Amplification Matrix, which boosts damage output and healing effects of all friendly projectiles that pass through it. Beyond these abilities, Baptiste should be very agile thanks to his Exo Boots, which is a nice movement ability for a support class.
