OUYA accepting open game submissions ahead of launch
OUYA is now accepting open game submissions from developers. If successful, developers will see their games go live on the console's marketplace from March 28, the same day consoles ship to backers.
An update on the OUYA blog states that successful submissions made before March 28 that hit the marketplace's top three games - the ones with the most playing time recorded - will be given big exposure in one of the company's opening documentaries.
Developer can submit their games here, and must ensure they fall in line with OUYA's submission guidelines.
The game will go up as soon as possible and interestingly, from that point on developers are free to update their titles as much as possible at no extra cost. This is refreshing when compared to Xbox Live, which charges developers a significant fee each time they update their game.
What do you make of OUYA's open-platform approach to submissions and updates? Will you try out OUYA after launch? Let us know below.
