Outriders is coming to Game Pass, but only on Xbox and mobile
Fans actually correctly figured out the Game Pass tease.
Outriders is indeed coming to Xbox Game Pass. The co-op shooter will be available on the subscription service on the day of its release, April 1, for Game Pass console and mobile, but not PC.
In case you missed it, Microsoft has been teasing a big addition to Game Pass soon. The cryptic teaser was understood by fans to be referring to the world of Outriders, but many felt the game to be too high-profile to arrive on Game Pass on day one.
This is far from the first third-party game to have a day-and-date release on Game Pass, of course, but those launches are typically reserved for smaller games, or those funded/published by Microsoft.
That said, it's disappointing that PC players won't be able to join in on the fun, though Square Enix is likely happy with the game's pre-orders on Steam so far, and the demo's general reception there.
Speaking of the demo, it just received a big patch, offering a toggle for the game's dreaded motion blur, plenty of crash fixes, matchmaking improvements and more.
Outriders is out April 1 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
