Outlast launch trailer is a good reminder to keep spare jocks handy
Indie horror effort Outlast is out now on PC. Pat, who writes stories about murders in his spare time and has one third of the emotions of lesser humans, said the game made him "properly jump" and that the start's "fantastic". You may want to wait for nightfall and plug in some headphones, but in the meantime, enjoy this launch trailer.
Outlast is $20 on Steam. It hails from Montreal studio Red Barrels, and is primarily a stealth game; when you mess up, your best defence is to leg it, taking advantage of the game's parkour system, which was inspired by Mirror's Edge and helped along by some Assassin's Creed veterans.
Red Barrels has said multiple times that its primary goal was to scare the s**t out of players and early reports indicate it has pulled this off.
