Origin Access Premier service lets subscribers play full PC games before release

Origin Access Premier was announced during EA Play 2018 at E3 today.

Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson took the stage at EA Play 2018 to announce Origin Access Premier.

According to EA, this is a "new tier" of its PC gaming membership where subscribers can play full games such as Battlefield 5, FIFA 19, Madden NFL 19, and Anthem before launch.

"No trial, no waiting, just play," said EA.

Subscribers can play over 100 PC titles whenever they like as long as a Premier member is maintained.

Being a member also means games from other publishers such as Batman: Arkham Asylum, INSIDE, The Witness, and more are playable. Like the regular Origin membership, users can take 10% on other Origin digital purchases.

Wilson made note during the announcement the new service was being handled by the Israel-based cloud company it just recently purchased from GameFly.

EA said in May the acquisition was made in order to develop technology enabling players to experience playing “on any device from anywhere.”

Origin Access Premier arrives on PC this summer. It will run you $15 a month or $100 per year.

We'll provide more information on the service as it comes.
