Ori and the Blind Forest, which was released on PC and Xbox One March 11, was profitable within one week of release.

Speaking in a post on NeoGAF, Moon studios CEO Thomas Mahler said due to said profitability, "Microsoft is super happy, so we'll see about Ori's future."

Along with expanding the studio with extra staff, the developer has five project ideas "in the oven spanning from smaller to huge projects."

"All the money we make goes right back into the studio - so if you wanna support us and our future projects, buy Ori and or gift it to your friends," Mahler said in another post. "The more copies we sell, the higher the chance that we get to work on new projects.

"I'd actually be interested in talking about Ori's story - I have somewhat of an outline now of where I'd like to go with the IP in the future, if we'd get to work on another Ori-related project. I think we crafted a big world with memorable characters and there's a lot of potential for us to go in and keep working on that tale.

"There was actually quite a lot of lore we created that didn't really make it into Blind Forest. It'd be interesting to take it a step further and open up the world a bit more, to give people further insight into how Nibel works, the characters in it, etc."

Mahler went on to say he's love for the studio and Microsoft to "do a little bit more with the IP" and it would "amazing" if a film studio picked up the rights to it.

Ori and the Blind Forest is slated for a release on Xbox 360 later this year.
