Thank you, Optimus Prime, for explaining the new Transformers game

You don't want me to tell you how Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark fits into the Michael Bay movie universe - not when Optimus Prime himself could do it for you.

If you grew up watching the animated Transformers series, you probably know Peter Cullen's voice well. The tone of Optimus Prime is so well-established among that generation that when Bay's movies brought the franchise to Hollywood Cullen was the only possible choice to provide vocals for the leader of the autobots.

You might never have seen his face though, and this trailer gives you a chance to peek behind the metal mask as Cullen outlines how Rise of the Dark Spark fits into the new canon.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark arrives on 3DS, PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on June 24.
