Only 2.2% of users spend money on free-to-play titles, according to Swrve report

A new report from Swrve research has found that only 2.2% of users spend money on free-to-play titles, and 46% of revenue stems from only .22% of the player base. It also found that two-thirds of users will stop playing a game after only one day. The data was complied from 30 games and 10 million new players over 90 days, and if any money was spent at all, 53% of user spending occurred within the first seven days of being downloaded. Similar to what was noted by SuperData in an earlier report, Swerve said developers which focus resources on the total number should worry more about player engagement.
