Official Move PC support hinted at in GDC panel info
According to info on an upcoming GDC panel for PlayStation Move, something known as "Move Server" will be shown off by Sony, which will detail official PC support for the motion controller.
The synopsis reads that the Move Server program "will make it possible for academics and hobbyists to develop software using the PlayStation Move controller on their own PCs."
The panel, which will take place on March 2, is due to be hosted by senior developer support engineer at SCEA, John McCutchan.
Move uses the USB-based PlayStation Eye as an essential part of the controller to actually work, which means, as Gama points out, it's only a case of releasing a set of drivers that officially support the controller for PC
Move hasn't seen as much support on hack and other academic activities compared to Microsoft's Kinect when it first launched. Microsoft is apparently set to announce official PC support for the camera in the upcoming future.
GDC takes place from February 28-March 4.
