Control's PC specs are friendlier than we originally thought
Developer Remedy released the official PC specs for its upcoming sci-fi action game Control, and they're less demanding than we originally thought.
Below are the minimum and recommended specs for Control on PC, including the requirements to enable ray tracing. (Here's what ray tracing looks like in Control, by the way.)
Control PC Minimum Specs
- OS: Windows 7, 64bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 / AMD FX 4350
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 / AMD Radeon R9 280X
- RAM: 8GB
- DirectX: DX11
Control PC Recommended Specs
- OS: Windows 10, 64bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660/1060 / AMD Radeon RX 580
- Ray tracing: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
- RAM: 16 GB
- DirectX: DX11 / DX12
The game will feature widescreen support at a 21:9 aspect ratio, remappable controls, an uncapped framerate, G-Sync, and Freesync support.
Control launches on August 27 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It's got a tough, "Dark Souls vibe" and an exotic, eerie enemy called the Hiss.
