"Of course we're working on GT6 already," says Yamauchi

Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed the inevitable: Gran Turismo 6 is in development. Start warming your engines now.

Speaking in an interview with IGN, Yamauchi said "of course" the team was "working on GT6 already," noting that the "separating factor" between GT5 and the next iteration, "is something that we can't update through a DLC," and will obviously have "to be saved for GT6."

"Things that we can provide through DLC we will, so that's really the market difference," he said.

Meanwhile, until the game is officially announced, GT5 players can expect new vehicles to be added to the game as DLC every two months, and Yamauchi wants fans to get involved in what goes into future content.

"What we do from here on is also really dependent on the reaction of the users to this first DLC that we just released because this is the first one," he said.

"Now we have the feedback from our customers and we'll see how that will affect what we will do from here."

Thanks, Shack.
