Nvidia releases Game Ready driver for Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Nvidia's latest Game Ready drive brings Ansel and Highlights support to Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Black Ops 4, and more.

Nvidia has been offering some impressive new hardware this month, but it's not forgetting the software end either. Today the manufacturer released a new Game Ready driver to make sure your PC is optimized for the latest games - most notably, this week's Shadow of the Tomb Raider launch.

Of all the features for this Game Ready driver, the most notable include Ansel and Highlights support. Ansel technology is a method of capturing high-fidelity in-game photography, be it from a PC or VR headset. Given how popular photo modes are becoming, this should be a promising feature.

Highlights tech, meanwhile, is Nvidia's method for capturing footage of in-game achievements. Highlights are integrated directly with supported games, and automatically records key moments during a gaming session with ShadowPlay technology. When the game ends, a Highlights reel gives you the opportunity to upload footage to Facebook, YouTube, or Weibo. Nvidia's latest driver will support both Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Dying Light: Bad Blood.

Along with Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the latest Game Ready driver adds optimization and support features for the following games:

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
  • Dying Light: Bad Blood
  • Insurgency: Sandstorm

Drivers can be downloaded directly from Nvidia's website.
